This is me,after a particularly strong shot of blueberry vodka before my wedding to this guy:
The taller guy on the right-his name is Ryan aka "The Hubs"(the guy on the left is Schultzy, but he's a different story on for a different day). This picture is the evening after Ryan finished the New York marathon. Yes, that's right, the girl who NEVER runs, married a runner-and an ambitious runner at that. His goal is to run 50 marathons in 50 states. Freak.
Our story isn't about how we got together (a blind date) or our wedding (July 18th, 2009) It's about our stupid, not really planned out, but super exciting foray in to income properties. Oh, and I'll probably talk about our marriage as well, because lets be honest, what every newlywed couple wants to do is take on an extreme renovation...RIGHT?
It comes as no shock that if you want to make money, you need to invest. And according to the Hubs, one of the best ways to invest in your future is buy property. And with the property market the way it is, we really wanted to "get in on the action". So we did. The Butte market is in pretty good shape, prices are low compared to other cities in our state, and with Montana Tech University increasing enrollment (over 15% overall this year) beyond the capacity of dorm rooms, this puts us in a great position.
A great position to buy a completely run down 4plex that needs to be completely gutted and renovated before we let anybody walk in there, let alone LIVE there.
